Pat Knotts was born and reared in Indianapolis. Pat was predeceased by her parents Herbert J and Geneva M Shimer. She is survived by her husband Jerry Knotts and sisters Aggie Woods (Ed) and Sandi Schroder (Jim), and numerous nieces and nephews, grand and great grandchildren.
She graduated St. Agnes High School and attended Ball State University.
Her career path was first at Farm Bureau of Indiana, then VP of Merchants Bank in their Trust Department. Pat owned and administered the Hoosier Horseman's Association.
Her passions and interests included gardening, baking, crocheting, beadwork, 4-H sponsorships, genealogy, and the love of her feline pets. She was also a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution. Seldom sedentary, Pat was fondly referred to as the "Energizer Bunny", having boundless energy for whatever endeavors she pursued.
Graveside service begins at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, September 8, 2026, at Crown Hill Cemetery located at 700 W 38th Street, Indianapolis, Indiana. Please gather in the lobby by 10:45 AM for gravesite procession.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Riley Hospital for Children at IU Health or a charity of your choice.
