Paul R. Owensby

70, went to be with the Lord peacefully at his home on April 26, 2014. Paul was born July 15, 1943 in Indianapolis. He married Eldia Mae Summers August 18, 1963, who has preceded him in death.

Paul is survived by two sons Rev. Rick (Shannon) Owensby and Brian (Tammy) Owensby ; and two grandsons Zachariah and Garrett. He was preceded in death by his wife; sister Wilda Rose Owensby and brother Rev. Harry E. Owensby.

Paul was employed by Artisan Builders of Martinsville and was a U.S. Army Veteran. Along with his wife and sons Paul created the Owensby Family Gospel Singers Quartet and traveled many states singing the gospel.

Paul was a two term president of the Indiana Gospel Music Association and attends the First Separate Baptist Church of Indianapolis. He also enjoyed working and playing Bluegrass music.

Visitation will be Tuesday April 29th from 4:00-8:00 PM at Little & Sons Funeral Home Stop 11 Chapel.

Funeral Services will be Wednesday April 30th at 11:00 AM with visitation one hour prior to the service, at The First Separate Baptist Church of Indianapolis 25 E. Bixler Rd. Indpls. IN 46227. Rev. Jimmy Polston and Rev. John Anglea will be officiating.

Burial to follow at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens in Greenwood. www.littleandsonsindianapolis
