

Rebecca H. Clarke, 74, of Voorhees, New Jersey, passed away peacefully on July 19, 2025. Born on October 25, 1950, in Kentucky and raised in Indianapolis, Indiana, Rebecca lived a life rooted in compassion, resilience, and service to others.
She was a woman of many passions: an avid reader, a skilled crocheter, a collector of designer purses, and a lover of cooking and travel. Rebecca was educated at St. Rita’s Catholic School and public school 38. and graduated from Arsenal Technical High School in Indiana. She went on to earn two master’s degrees and became a licensed therapist—a role she embraced with empathy and dedication.
Rebecca also had a deep commitment to education and workforce development. She served as an educator in the Philadelphia public school system and as a college instructor at Rowan College and Camden County College. Her career extended into the Gloucester County Chamber of Commerce, where she worked as an employment counselor. She was also a proud entrepreneur, having founded and operated a business called Becky’s Best LLC.
She was preceded in death by her parents, John Lee Hurst Sr. and Irene L. Kyle-Hurst; her brother, John Lee Hurst; and her mother -in-law, Inez Clarke.
Rebecca is survived by her loving husband, Henderson Clarke; her children, Alex Frattaroli, Gia Frattaroli, and Latoya Clarke; her sister, Beverly Kay Barney; her sister, Shirley Banks; and a host of nieces, nephews, and extended family.
A visitation for Rebecca will be held Saturday, August 9, 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at Crown Hill Funeral Home, 700 W. 38th St., Indianapolis, IN 46208, followed by a Celebration of Life at 1:00 PM.
