

Rebecca Geisler passed away on January 6, 2016, at age 95. She was born in Harmony, Indiana, grew up in Terre Haute, and graduated from Indiana State College. She taught Home Economics and English in Sullivan, Indiana, before working for several years in New York City, and was then an executive secretary at Stewart-Warner in Indianapolis. After raising her daughters, she became a successful Interior Designer, and participated in the St. Margaret’s Hospital Guild Decorator Show House from the 1960’s through the 1980’s; a frequent theme of her work was creative repurposing of antiques. Over her career of more than 40 years, she helped hundreds of clients redecorate residential and business spaces. Becky enjoyed the hobbies of collecting antiques, traveling, gardening, and quilting with a church group. She was preceded in death by her husband, Henry, her parents, and two brothers. She is survived by her children, Karen Roberts (Rick) and Nancy Hanson (Eric), granddaughters Ellen Roberts and Jenna Beatty (Keith), and great-grandchildren Kai and Vera. The family wishes to thank staff members of the Forum at the Crossing Memory Care Unit, for their special care and concern.
