Regina Cheatham

August 15, 1966September 10, 2020

Regina (GiGi) Cheatham, 54, transitioned from this life on Thursday, September 10, 2020, peacefully, at home, with her only daughter by her side. Regina was born on August 15, 1966 in Indianapolis, Indiana, to Bonita (Curtis) and Reginald Cheatham.

A woman who loved God and music that made her dance, Regina lived to the fullest the best she knew how. Bowling, billiards, playing solitaire (any card game really), and spending time with those she loved were her favorite pass times. In this life, she did her best to bring the sunshine with her wherever she went.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Bonnie and Reggie, and is survived by her daughter, Natasha (Tasha Marie) Cheatham; aunt, Janet Cheatham-Bell; cousins, Kevin KC Cheatham, Miguel Mickey, Madganna Mickey, Greg Cheatham, Michael Cheatham, and W. Kamua Bell; as well as a host of loving family and friends.

A small memorial gathering will be held on Sunday, September 20, 2020 at 2:30 pm, at Williams & Bluitt Funeral Home (5252 East 38th Street, Indianapolis, IN 46218).

A balloon release will immediately follow the service at 3426 N. Grant Ave, 3:30 pm. For those who are unable to attend, Williams & Bluitt will also live-stream on Facebook.

Memorial donations in Regina’s memory may be directed to Minority Recovery Collective Inc., or St. Vincent (Ascension Health) Hospice.

Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared at www.williamsandbluitt.com for the Cheatham family.

With sadness we regret the passing of our Sister Regina. She was a very nice and kind individual. We remember her wonderful and beautiful smile. She always uplifted the Lord in her conversations,. We know she has found rest and peace with God. We loved her dearly. May God continue to bless the family as they go through. (Deacon Reginald Little and Family)

The Clifton Green family wants her family to know they will miss seeing her at New Light Missionary Baptist Church and love her dearly.

Sis. Geraldine Thomas and grand kids send their condolence to the family. Much love and prayer.
