Passed away on April 26, 2012.
He was the Pastor of Greater King Solomon Missionary Baptist Church from 1984 until his death. He was a United States Army Veteran; serving in the Korean War. He was awarded the United Nations Medal and the National Defense Medal. He was employed by the Indianapolis Public School, retiring after 20 years of service. He is survived by his devoted wife, Martha Williams, sons, Roderick Booker (Carolyn), Garry Jackson, Elder Robert Jackson, daughters, Althea Ragsdale (Jimmy), Sherri Earley, Terrie Duerson, Amelda Williams, Stephanie Hambrick, Vickie Bradley, daughter-in-law, Tonya Williams, an aunt, Roxie Cade, brother, Ronald Williams, sisters, Daisy Lewis, Viola Easley, Willa B. Allen (Henry), 27 grandchildren and 45 great grandchildren. Services will be held on Thursday, May 3rd , 2012, 12 P.M. at St. Luke Missionary Baptist Church, 5325 East 30th Street. Visitation will be on May 3rd from 10 A.M. Burial will be in New Crown Cemetery. Arrangements entrusted to Williams & Bluitt Funeral Home.
