80, of Indianapolis, died on December 10, 2010. He was born to Walter and Sarah Osborne Smith in Terry, MS.
Reverend Smith served 22 years in the U.S. Army (SGM), and retired from Indiana Bell after a 20 year career. He was a Past Master of Central Lodge #1, F&AM and a DDGM. He was also a Past Patron of Union Chapter #1, O.E.S., P.H.A., and a Past Grand Worth Patron of Prince Hall Grand Chapter, O.E.S., Jurisdiction of Indiana. He was a 33rd of the Constantine Consistory #25. In 1990, he yielded God's Call to preach, and was Interim Pastor at Greater St. Mark. Reverend Smith was extremely glad to be a member of Emmanuel Missionary Baptist Church where he served as the Bereavement Pastor and was a member on the Education Board.
He is survived by his loving wife, Laura; daughters, Beverly (Jesse) Craig and Evelyn (Winfred) Shelton; 2 grandchildren, LaJoi (Mark) Woodard and Jesse LS Craig; 2 sisters-in-law, Mrs. Cleo Osborne and Mrs. Arlillian Smith; many relatives, church family, and friends.
