Richard Wayne Clevenger, “Ricky”, a beloved son, partner, brother, uncle, and friend passed away on July 26, 2024 after a courageous three-year battle with cancer at the age of 38. A lifelong resident of Indianapolis, Ricky was a proud graduate of Roncalli High School earning two state football championships. Following his passion for entrepreneurship, he became the successful owner of the Indianapolis Molly Maid franchise carrying on his mom’s legacy. His infectious enthusiasm, dedication, and continuous search for self-improvement were a testament to his character. Ricky was deeply committed to his friends and family, and he prioritized time with them. Always showing up – especially when it mattered most.
Ricky is survived by his loving girlfriend, Amanda Brummitt, and her daughter Maddie Cougill, his parents, David and Rebecca Clevenger, sisters, Stephanie (Brandon) Wilson, Carissa (Matthew) Maddox, and Melissa (Robbie) Decatur, eleven nieces and nephews and their families.
Ricky’s legacy will forever be imprinted on the hearts and minds of those he touched. He could often be found supporting nieces and nephew’s at their events, watching the Notre Dame Fighting Irish with friends, making memories with Amanda, playing with his pups in his backyard, or in the stands cheering on the Colts with his dad. Ricky’s warm smile and love for life will be deeply missed.
A viewing for family and friends will be held on Friday, August 2nd at Little and Sons Funeral Home from 3:30pm to 6:00pm. The viewing will be followed by a private prayer service for the family members. Ricky’s final resting place will be the Nativity Garden at the Forest Lawn cemetery in Greenwood, Indiana.
