Richard Leon Sturges: He was born in Indianapolis and served in the US Navy. He was married to Velma (Harbin) Sturges for almost 63 yrs until her death. He had 4 children: Debra, Pamela, Michael and Scott. He had 6 grandkids.
Richard had a fantastic sense of humor and never met a stranger. He was a charitable man always willing to help others. He worked at Citizens Energy for over 40 years. He loved to travel. He loved animals and always had a dog at his side.
Visitation will be held at Crown Hill Funeral Home, 700 W. 38th St., Indianapolis, IN 46208, US, on June 30, 2026, from 12:00 pm to 2:30 pm. A graveside service will follow at the conclusion of visitation.
