Riley Edward Allstatt

Born in Indianapolis on June 3, 2004, Riley was the beloved son of Mark E. Allstatt and Christa L. Thompson. He graduated from Roncalli High School in 2022 and attended Anderson University. After university, Riley worked for Indianapolis Department of Natural Resources at Ft. Benjamin Harrison before answering the call to serve his country enlisting in the United States Marine Corps in 2024. Riley took immense pride in being a Marine Armorer, embodying the courage, dedication, and true meaning of what it means to be a brother-in-arms and a defender of this nation.

To know Riley was to experience genuine warmth, an easy smile, and an open heart. He brought light and steady loyalty to every room he entered, leaving an enduring mark on everyone fortunate enough to share in his journey.

Riley was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Vernon G. Thompson a veteran of The United States Navy.

His legacy of love and service will forever be cherished by his devoted wife, Anna Allstatt; his loving parents, Mark and Christa; his sister, Tatum Allstatt; his maternal grandmother, Alberta J. Thompson; his paternal grandparents, David L. and Charlotte M. Allstatt; his parents-in-law, Jon and Amy Botz; his sister-in-law Ashley and Kaiden Baxter; and his grandparents-in-law, Michael and Julie Botz, and Bobbi and Richard Walton.

Riley’s sudden absence leaves an immeasurable void in the hearts of his extended family, including his aunts and uncles: Erik Allstatt and Brittany O’Connor, Carrie Allstatt, Alicia Allstatt, Tricia Allstatt and April M. and Randal Hamilton; as well as his cousins: Catherine, Erik David, Cynthia, Gabrielle, Morgan, Annelise, and Devin. He will also be forever remembered and missed by his Marine Corps brothers and countless dear friends.

Visitation will be held at Crown Hill Funeral Home & Cemetery, Remembrance Hall, 700 W. 38th St., Indianapolis, Indiana 46208, on October 2, 2026, from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm.

From 7:00pm-8:00pm stories of Riley are welcome by all.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Therese Little Flower Catholic Church, 4720 East 13th Street, Indianapolis, IN 46201, on October 3, 2026, at 11:00 am.
