91, of Indianapolis, born June 17, 1922 in Kalamazoo, Michigan,
passed away October 30, 2013. He was preceded in death by his
beloved wife of 55 years, Connie, seven brothers and sisters and
two great grandchildren. He is survived by his sons Robert
(Esther) and Ed, daughters Gloria Lee, Connie (Randy) Duffitt,
6 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren. He was a WWII
Veteran having served in the Merchant Marines. He retired
from Borden’s Dairy, and worked until 2 years ago, at Ace
Hardware. Visitation will be at Feeney-Hornak Shadeland
Mortuary on Friday November 1 from 4 – 8 pm. A Mass of
Christian Burial will be Saturday November 2, 10 am, at Little
Flower Catholic Church. Burial will be at Memorial Park
Cemetery with military honors. In lieu of flowers, contributions in
Robert’s name may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project or
St. Vincent dePaul Society.
