Condolences to the Dixon family. I will always remember my friend, Steve, for his kind and insightful words of wisdom.

John and I offer our deepest condolences to Keesha, John, and their family. Steve was a devoted husband and faithful servant, dedicated to assisting those in need. His genuine kindness touched the hearts of many.
We have fond memories of Steve, but one that stands out was his detailed work and exceptional craftsmanship skills, particularly in constructing and beautifying various structures within our church. 
Steve has departed too soon and will always be missed.  May he rest in peace.

Keesha, John, family and friends,

Words cannot express our deepest condolences at this time of profound loss. In the midst of sorrow, though, there are so many fond memories of Steve that bring big smiles to our faces such as his unique and stylish outfits and shoes! Our fondest memory, however, is of his faithful humble service to God, family, friends and “neighbors”.  We will always remember his unwavering assistance in “pushing Bob around” at church and other events. 😊 We remain prayerful for your strength and comfort through this difficult time.

Brother Dixon had a great sense of humor and often joked with me about me joining the wrong fraternity. Although we belonged to different fraternities he exemplified all of the attributes and  that truly matter. His dedication to God, service and family was evident. He was always willing to share his wisdom, expertise, and knowledge to help others. He is another great man of Witherspoon that has left his mark on my life. You will be missed Brother.

Brother Steve Dixon was a dedicated servant to his faith, family, fraternity, and community.  Brother Dixon was a committed inaugural Brothers Helping Brothers  (BHB) committee. He played a key role in addressing many of the brothers’ maintenance and carpentry needs. His service has helped “frame” the trajectory of our outreach as we build up our community support! The fraternity and our committee will sorely miss him. Several months ago, he worked for Brother Price as part of our BHB outreach.  

One of my greatest memories of Brother Dixon was witnessing his ordination. The humility he demonstrated and the excitement for what was ahead truly illustrated the type of servant leader he was.    His steadfast commitment to others, outside of himself, illustrated his innermost grace for humanity. His work and ministry will leave an indelible mark on the Indianapolis brotherhood and community.
