Robert Edmond Polin, Sr.

Robert E. "Fluggie" Polin, Sr., 53, Indianapolis, passed away on September 9, 2013. Robert was the son of Alfred E. Polin, Sr. and the late Roberta Wright Anderson. Robert was united with Hillside Christian Church in 1967 and later reunited with College Park Church in 2010. Robert was employed with Shapiro's Delicatessen for thirty two year. He also served in the United States Marine Corps from 1979 to 1985.

"Fluggie" as he was fondly called by family and friends was peaceful and humble. He loved speding time with his grandchildren and sons.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Roberta Wright Anderson; sister, Tonya Polin Coleman and brother, Alfred E. Polin, Jr.

He leaves to cherish his memory, sons: Robert E. Polin, Jr. (Camaya) and Nigel Polin; father, Alfred Polin, Sr.; siblings: Alfreda Willis (Michael), Andrea Polin (Mark Shaffer), Cathy Archey (David), Benton Polin (Sherry), Dwayne Murray (Denise) and Langston Coffer; grandchildren: Camaiyla, Romya and Robert and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends and his Shapiro's family.

His visitation will take place on Saturday, September 21, 2013, 10am - 12pm at Progressive Baptist Church, with the Homegoing Celebration commencing at 12pm. The burial will follow at New Crown Cemetery.
