Robert Allen Spencer

Robert Allen Spencer
passed away peacefully on April 9, 2018. He was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin on November 28, 1929 to the late William and Clara Spencer.
He earned an electrical engineering degree and was valedictorian of his class at the Milwaukee School of Engineering.
Bob married Lorraine Marie Fuchs, on July 7, 1956 , who preceded him in death in 2009. Bob served in the Korean War. He was an electrical engineer at Bell Labs for 29 years.
He enjoyed camping vacations with his family. In his long retirement, Bob enjoyed golf with friends and volunteered at St. Vincent de Paul for 25 years. He was a faithful member of Holy Spirit Catholic Church for 60 years.
He is survived by three children, six grandchildren, and one great grandson. They are daughter, Karen Marie LeStourgeon (Sam) and their children, Andrew of Burlington, VT, Thomas, Sarah Trueblood (David) and their son Michael; son, Paul William Spencer (Julie) and their children Lauren and Jessica; daughter, Susan Annette Spencer, all of Indianapolis; grandson, Ryan Spencer, son of the late son, James Robert Spencer; and the late daughter, Debra Lynn Levi (David). Bob is also survived by his sister, Mary Ann Weltzien (James) of Crystal Lake, IL. His brothers Gilbert (Betty) and William proceeded him in death.
The family will receive friends from 4:00 - 7:00 on Wednesday at the Feeney-Hornack Mortuary, 1307 N. Shadeland Ave., Indianapolis, Indiana, 46219. Funeral services will be held at Holy Spirit Catholic Church, 7243 E. 10th Street, Indianapolis, IN 46219, on Thursday at 10:00 AM, Father Paul, celebrant, with internment at Memorial Park Cemetery.
