74, of Indianapolis, passed away on May 12, 2019. Ronald was born May 2, 1945 in Fort Knox, Kentucky the son of the late Edward and Pasha Helmick. Ron was a letter carrier for the USPS for 35 years, and received his 50 year pin with NALC #39 this year . He was a member of Southwest Church of the Nazarene, American Legion Post #64, U.S. Navy Veteran and would referee for the CYO basketball. He is survived by his loving wife of 44 years; Diana Helmick, daughters; Rachel (Charles) Tucker, Sarah Helmick, and Melissa (Michael Scott) Helmick, thought of as daughters; Amber Blackburn and Hollie Proctor, brother; Donald Helmick and grandchildren; Savannah, Grace, Maliyah, Isaiah, Alex, Noah, Michael and Aria. Visitation will be Wednesday, May 15, from 4:00 - 8:00 pm at Family Funeral Care. Funeral services will be held for Ron on Thursday, May 16, at 11:00 am at Family Funeral Care. Burial will follow at Floral Park Cemetery with full Navy Military Honors. Contributions may be made the Diabetes Association.
