Roosevelt Buck was a wonderful man! An excellent husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, etc but most importantly a true friend to all! The patriarch for the Buck family. You were always welcomed with open arms and a big hug or his infectious smile by "Baby" (as we called him)/Uncle Buck/ Mr. Buck/Buck/Roosevelt/grandpa/ granddad/brother/son/etc. A man of lots of nicknames but also more importantly a man full of lots of love for his family. Doesn't matter if you are blood or not…Baby would welcome you in and call you family for life. He would give u the shirt off his back if it was needed or a room to stay overnight or pick you up and drive you wherever you needed or wanted to go. A true rare gentleman that is rare still in this world.
He adored his wife Beverly Buck the most and all of his children and grandchildren/etc. He especially adored family get-togethers and organizing the many family reunions, traveling, working, his collection of model cars, his endless collection of clothes/shoes/hats/etc.
I seriously could go on and on about him but I will pause for now. I know this past month has been hard on all. But in the end, he passed away at home surrounded by his immediate family and peacefully in his sleep. Just as he wanted.
I know he is up in Heaven now looking down at us all saying "don't be sad! I'm not in pain now.
Plus I've reunited again with my brother (pepper/Russell), and Gregory Kennedy. Now they better watch out up here because we are going to cause some innocent but fun mischief just like the good ole days!"
We love you Baby and will miss you terribly!
Thank you for being the solid rock for this family for so long! I'm finally at a loss for words but I know u know how I feel as you could just sit quietly without a word spoken and you knew (and the other party in your company knew) what each other was thinking without it being even said.
Preceded in death by his parents Curtis Buck, Genevieve Wilson Buck, and brother Russell Buck.
Roosevelt is survived by his loving wife Beverly Buck, sons; Curtis Wedlow, Tyrone Buck, daugh-ters; Patrice Howze, Crystal Williams, 24 grand-children, 15 great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
