Rosemary "Rosie" Sells

Rosie was born to John and Helen King and attended school in Columbus, graduating from Columbus High School. On May 16, 1953, she married Robert (Bob) Sells at Zion United Church of Christ in Indianapolis, Indiana. She worked as a bookkeeper for Robco Distributing for 19 years and was a dedicated member of her church for decades, actively participating in the Women’s Guild.

Alongside her full-time job, Rosie and Bob were ambitious entrepreneurs who purchased their first business, The Rainbow Laundry, on the Southside of Indianapolis. They owned this business for many years while raising their three children. Rosie enjoyed meeting regular patrons, forming many friendships, and learning valuable life lessons along the way.

Rosie is preceded in death by her beloved spouse, Robert C. Sells; her parents, John and Helen King; her sister, Norma Jean Horrall; her brother, William J. King; and her son-in-law, Elbert C. Davidson, Jr.

She is survived by her children, Deborah S. Cullingford (Bruce), Jeffrey R. Sells (Luanna), and Maryann Davidson. Her legacy also includes her grandchildren, Steven Cullingford, Scott Cullingford (Alyssa), Chris Carson, Amy Klebe (Matt), Angela Dämm (Nathan), Jacob Sells, and Kathryn Whelpdale (Gary); and her great-grandchildren, Cale Cullingford, Casen Cullingford, Maxson Klebe, Ethan Carson, Myles Klebe, Atticus Cullingford, and Paisley Cullingford.

A Gathering of Friends and Family will be held on Thursday, November 13, 2025, from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm at Zion United Church of Christ, 8916 E Troy Ave, Indianapolis, IN 46239.

The Funeral Service will follow at 2:00 pm, officiated by Pastor Sarah. A Committal Service will take place at Orchard Hill Cemetery, 9032 Southeastern Ave, Indianapolis, IN 46239, from 3:30 pm to 4:00 pm with a burial to follow.

Arrangements are by Little and Sons Funeral Home. The family extends their gratitude to those who offered support and prayers, and to the Franciscan Hospice House Care Team.
