Rosewilma Marie Rand

Rosewilma Marie was born on February 4, 1949 in Washington, Indiana, from the union of Frank Rand and Nona Lee Rand (Wales). She was the first born of 5 children and was known as Marie for most of life because she thought her name was too long. Marie completed her journey February, 16, 2017.

Marie graduated from Crispus Attucks High School, Indianapolis and worked as a dietary assistant for most of her career until her health began to fail. Marie was a member of Capital City 7th Day

Adventist, of Indianapolis and enjoyed attending services and events at her church as her health allowed.

Marie enjoyed her pets. She loved raising small breed dogs and had numerous fish tanks and like tending to live plants. She loved to talk and tell stories to others about her “pet family”.

Marie’s was preceded on journey by her parents, Frank and Nona and sister Deborrah Russell, proceeded her in her journey. She is survived by brothers, Richard Rand, Keith Rand, (Joyce) and Gregory Rand; and a host of other family members and friends. The visitation is Saturday, February 25, 2017, 9am - 11am, with the Memorial Service at 11am in Williams & Bluitt Funeral Home, Peoples Chapel.
