Sallie Mae Miller Wells, 101, of Indianapolis,went home to be with Jesus, her Lord and Savior on Tuesday, August 18, 2009. She was a homemaker of 11 children. She became a born again Christian at 16 years of age. Born in Fairfield, Kentucky, she was married to Robert J. Wells who preceded her in death as well as three daughters, Mary Elizabeth Beam, Evelyn Malone and one who died in infancy; three sons, Rev. John Wells, Willie Wells and Julius Wells. She is survived by her children, Ethel Wells, Rev. Robert Wells (Sheila), Rev. Roger Wells (Frances), Elder Charles Wells (Tessa), Missionary Larry Wells (Fannie); daughter in laws Salathiel Wells and Zenobia Wells; and a loving host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, great great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. A home going celebreation will be held on Monday, August 24, 2009, 1 PM at The Church of the Living God and the Saints of Christ. Friends may call from 11 AM until time of service.
