79, of Indianapolis, Indiana passed away on Sunday, February 19, 2023. Sam was born January 1, 1944 in Indianapolis, Indiana the son of the late Harold and Betty Stoehr. He was a 1962 graduate of Franklin Central High School. Following high school he attended first Indiana University in Bloomington and then earned his JD at the Indiana University School of Law. Sam practiced law in Indianapolis for over thirty years. He was an avid outdoorsman with a passion for fly fishing and, most of all, hunting ruffed grouse and woodcock with his bird dogs in Indiana, Michigan and Wisconsin. He was also an avid and excellent cook. He is survived by his son, Andrew (Kelly) Stoehr, sisters Suzanne (Pat) Fletcher, Melissa (Steve) Brown and Sally Stoehr and grandsons Ethan and Luca Stoehr.
A memorial gathering will be held by his family at a later date.
