
Mr. Sammy Lee Hope, Jr., 30was born September 12, 1988 in Fort Sill, Oklahoma to Sammy Lee and Virginia Lynette Hope. Sammy was added to the Lord's church in July 2003 at the National Youth Conference being held at Ohio State University. He departed this life on Thursday, November 15, 2018.Sammy graduated from Warren Central High School where he played football for the four-time state champions, the Warren Central Warriors. He was also a part of the Warren Central Singers Competition Choir. Sammy's love of music and football started at a very young age, these talents and abilities followed him throughout his life, earning him various awards and recognitions. He was a member of the singing group Youthful Praise.He held various jobs during his short life including employment with, but are not limited to, Adidas/Reebok, Domino's Pizza, SteelHouse, Cotton Restoration, Cable companies, Auto Rescue and finally as a mechanic.Sammy enjoyed spending time with his friends and family laughing, joking and having a good time. Besides his passion for singing, he was an avid reader and he loved football. He also enjoyed playing chess, cooking and working on cars.Family members left to cherish his memory are his daughter, Samiah Lanae Hope; his parents, Sammy L. and Virginia L. Hope; his sisters, Christalyn L. Hope and Alyssa J.J. Hope; his grandfather, Roy C. Hope; his grandmother, Mary J. (Laroi) Ganaway; and a host of family and friends. Sammy was preceded in death by his son, Sammy Lee Hope, III; his grandmother, Mary E. Hope; and his grandfather, Samuel A. Jordan.Sammy's favorite scripture was James 4:17 - "To Him that knoweth to do good and doeth is not, to him it is sin."Celebration on life memorial service will be held at Noon on Saturday, December 15, 2018 at the Kingsley Terrace Church of Christ, 2031 E 30th St.
