Sorry for your loss. Uncle Sammy will be missed. One of my fondest memories with Uncle Sammy is when we took a road trip to CA from CO. I loved spending that summer with the Odom family.

With heavy hearts, we share the news that our father, Samuel Odom, has gone home to be with his heavenly Father. He passed peacefully at home after suffering years from many health issues resulting from Agent Orange. He was a loving father, grandfather, great grandfather, uncle, brother, cousin, friend, Pastor, and a very proud Marine, a Vietnam Veteran. He was a beloved Pastor of Bethel Baptist Church, of Vallejo, CA, and Indianapolis, IN. He was preceded in death by his wife Floretta Odom, his parents, Samuel and Vastie, his siblings, Joshua, Johnny, Daniel, Joseph, Louise and Rosalyn. He leaves to cherish his memory his children, Barbara, Samantha and Robert, grandchildren Arrielle, Caleb, Aniya, Kijani, King, Shamiya and Jordan, and great grandchildren Alysa and Avery, his sisters, Mary and Margaret, and a host of family members In-laws, cousins, nieces and nephews.  We will miss our dad, but knowing he is now with his heavenly Father, as he used to say all the time, brings comfort to our hearts. Take your rest now daddy.  No more suffering. We love you. You are forever in our hearts. 💕💕💕

To the family and friends of Samual Odom.  We send our prayers and support to the family.  Pastor Odom was a mentor, friend and Marine brother to me.  We enjoyed many moments fellowshipping and breaking bread together while talking about the goodness of the Lord.  We were blessed to serve him as needed with hair cuts and shaves.  My mother died 6/24/24 so believe me my heart was made sad of the news, but my Spirit was glad because he was ready to go home to his Father.  Our deepest condolence to the family.
