Obituary of Sandra Faye Clausen
Sandra Faye Clausen was born on November 9, 1949 to Robert and Myrtle (Nelson) Dougherty in St. James, MN. She graduated from Butterfield High School in 1968. On June 22, 1968 she was united in marriage to Lynn Clausen at First Presbyterian Church in St. James, MN. Sandra started working at St. Mary’s Hospital in Winsted, MN as a housekeeper. In 1975 she moved with her family to Indianapolis, IN and started working at Woodford Manufacturing as a secretary. In 1984 Sandra started working for RCA as a secretary and continued until she retired in 2009. Sandra enjoyed her retirement spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Sandra enjoyed traveling back to MN to see her family and annual girl trips with her daughters. Sandra was married to her loving husband of 56 years. Family was everything to her. She is survived by her husband, Lynn Clausen; her two daughters, Holly (Michael) Schaefer, Heidi Bowling; four grandchildren, Chloe (Nicholas) Gadberry, Tyler (Natalie) Bowling, Caleb Whitt and Lynnzee Bowling; six great-grandchildren, Kadence, Aubrey, Mason, Max, Waylon and Makayla; sister, Tammy Kuehl of Sherburn, MN, brother-in-law, Scott Heller of Sherburn, MN, sister and brother-in-law Darla (Gerald) Kriesch of Howard Lake, MN and brother and sister-in-law Kelly (Trudy) Clausen of Sheridan, IN; many nieces and nephews and two loving dogs, Fiona and Squirt. Sandra was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Myrtle Dougherty, infant brother, Robert Dougherty, sister and brother-in-law Merlys and DeLyle Pankratz, sister, Robbin Heller, brother-in-law Larry Kuehl, niece, McKenzie Kuehl, father-in-law Chester Clausen, mother-in-law Leora Clausen, longtime friend Sylvester Weiss, brother and sister-in-law Lyle and Connie Clausen and sister-in-law Mary Clausen. Memorial visitation will be held Tuesday, July 16, 2024 from 9:00 a.m. until 10:00 a.m. at Cornerstone Lutheran Church, 4850 E. Main St., Carmel, IN 46033. A Memorial Service will be held at 10:00 a.m. at the church. Burial will be in Crown Hill National Cemetery Annex.
