Obituary of Sandra Cecconi Farney
Sandra Cecconi Farney, age 56, died July 17, 2018 in Carmel, IN. Sandra is survived by her husband of 33 years, Tim, of Carmel, her son John (Megan) Farney, of Indianapolis, daughter Caroline Farney of Grand Rapids Michigan, and sister Lisa (Ken) McKnight of Carmel. She is preceded in death by her parents Elio and Raffaella Cecconi of Indianapolis. Sandra was born on August 23, 1961 in Indianapolis. Sandra attended Christ the King elementary school, Bishop Chatard High School, and graduated from Indiana University with a degree in marketing and minor in psychology. Sandra was a member of Kappa Alpha Theta sorority and a member of the Panhellenic board. Sandra worked for Liberty Mutual in South Bend, IN as well as in Novi, MI, and worked in human resources at Guardian Industries in Northville, MI before becoming a full time mom with the birth of her children. Sandra was a member of St. Andrew Catholic Church, Rochester, MI where she taught religious education for 9 years. Sandra was an active volunteer at Hugger Elementary School, and at Hospice of Michigan. Sandra relocated to Carmel, IN in October of 2014. Visitation will be on Friday July 20 at Feeney-Hornak Keystone Mortuary, 2126 E. 71st Street, Indianapolis from 4 pm to 8 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Saturday July 21, at St. Pius X Catholic Church, 7200 Sarto Drive, Indianapolis at 10:30 am with visitation an hour before service. Following the graveside service at Oaklawn Memorial Gardens, 9700 Alisonville Rd., Indianapolis, a reception to follow at Capri Restaurant 2602 Ruth Dr., Indianapolis.
