Sharon Jo McQueen

Sharon Jo McQueen, 63, of Lawrence passed away February 28, 2023. She was born September 7, 1959 in Indianapolis, IN to Morand (Tony) and Patricia Roth. Sharon was a caretaker and touched the lives of many. She was a very giving and loving mother, grandmother, aunt, sister and friend. She always had a flock of children running around. The neighborhood kids became her grandkids. She was always watching out for them. She took great care of the love of her life Jimmy. They have spent the last 34 years together. She overcame Congestive Heart Failure and Throat Cancer. She was stubborn and would not let those define her. She was a fighter and she always fought for what she believed in even if she was wrong, She was one of a kind and will be greatly missed.

Visitation will be held Thursday, March 9, 2023 from 10:00 am until 1:00 pm at Feeney-Hornak Shadeland Mortuary, 1307 N. Shadeland Ave, Indianapolis. A funeral service will immediately follow at 1:00 pm.

Sharon is survived by her spouse, James L. Capps; children, Daniel McQueen (Heather) and Mendy McQueen; step children, James Capps II (Natalie), Amanda Capps, Michael Rigdon (Mindy); grandsons, Dylan McQueen, Dyson Adkins, James Capps III, Anthony Rigdon; granddaughters, Taelor Henderson, Ashlyn Adkins, Kayla and Kylie McQueen, Justine Capps, Emalie Earlywine, Alexis Gillet ,Nevada Stafford, and Khloe Spears; brothers, Glenn Roth (Tara) and David Roth (Denise); sister, Louise McKeand (Steve); and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Morand (Tony) and Patricia Roth; brother, Michael Roth; and sisters, Susan Dugan and Patricia Merriman.
