38, passed away on August 20, 2010 from complications from liver disease.
Shaun was born in Indianapolis on August 4, 1972 and was adopted from St. Elizabeth’s Home by his loving parents, Leo and Kathleen (Brown) Queisser, 12 days later on August 16, 1972. As he was their first child, it was the happiest day in his parents’ lives, who celebrated equally both his birth and adoption days all his life.
Shaun graduated from St. Pius X Catholic School in 1986 and Bishop Chatard High School in 1990, and attended Ball State for 3 years. He thoroughly enjoyed bartending and worked at 4-5 bars during his career. He particularly enjoyed Buckets Sports Bar and Taylor’s Pub.
He was not a hobby-type person, but preferred to spend his leisure time with his friends. He was not a TV sports fan, but did enjoy live baseball games – particularly the Cubbies – and football games. He especially enjoyed a trip to Wrigley Field (Cubbies) with his friend, Jason Hedge, and another to Lambeau Field (Green Bay Packers) with his friend, Scott Allen.
Shaun is survived by his parents and sister, Schnette Kathleen Queisser, and tons of loving relatives on both sides of the family. He is also survived by many, many loving friends.
Calling will be Wednesday, August 25, from 4-8 pm at St. Pius X Catholic Church. The funeral Mass will be Thursday, August 26 at 11 am at St. Pius X, with a very short calling from 10:15 to 10:45 am before Mass begins. His great grade and high school friend, Fr. Rob Hankee, will be the main celebrant. Relatives are reminded of family-only calling an hour before public calling each day. Feeney-Hornak Mortuary is handling arrangements.
In lieu of flowers, please make any donations to St. Elizabeth’s Home, 2500 Churchman Ave., Indianapolis, IN 46203 or St. Pius X Catholic Church, 7200 Sarto Dr., Indianapolis, IN 46240.
