Shawn graduated from Ben Davis High School and attended Ball State University for 2 years following high school. Shawn in his early days was a wonderful son pressing himself to strive to be the best in anything he did. Shawn's passion was coaching youth football especially for his son Cole and nephews Justin and Matthew Davis. Shawn was an outgoing individual who could still be laid back with his family and friends teaching those to strive for what is in your heart because of his unstoppable spirit and zeal for life. His contagious laugh and smile made him loved and adored by everyone he came in contact with. Shawn truly had a heart of gold and would be there for anyone, anytime, no matter what. Shawn was known for giving anything to those in need even if it was the last penny in his pocket. His jokes and fun personality was the way he would light up the room to anyone who knew him.
Confucius once said "Wisdom, compassion, and courage are the three universally recognized moral qualities of men." Shawn would impart his life wisdom to his children, Shawn's compassion was boundless, and his courage to take risks to excel in any endeavor he came across. Shawn will truly be missed for all of these things as we all truly feel the absence of his presence.
Robert is survived by his wife, Erron Clayton; daughter Keely Clayton; soon to be son-in-law Thomas Viles; daughter Shelby Clayton; son Cole Clayton; daughter Ah'livia Clayton; and daughter Ryleigh Clayton; father Robert F Clayton; mother Pamela K Clayton and mother-in-law Brenda Crayton; sister Tina Davis, sister Mindy (Jaro) Stribrny and brother-in-law Aniya Crayton; grandchild Ryker Viles.
A visitation for Robert will be held Monday, January 21, 2019 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Crown Hill Funeral Home & Cemetery, 700 W. 38th St., Indianapolis, Indiana 46208. A funeral service will occur Tuesday, January 22, 2019 at 11:00 AM, 700 W. 38th St., Indianapolis, Indiana 46208. An entombment will occur Tuesday, January 22, 2019 at Crown Hill Cemetery, 700 W. 38th St., Indianapolis, Indiana 46208.
