Shelvy A. Brown

Shelvy A. “Buddy” Brown, 76, of Indianapolis, passed away January 18, 2014. He was born October 25, 1937 in Marrowbone, Kentucky to Herman and Elsie Vibert Brown. He worked for General Motors Truck and Bus in Indianapolis for 35 years, retiring in 2000. He was a member of Southeastern Church of Christ. Buddy is survived by his wife Geraldine Branham Brown, children Lana (John) Dougherty, Michael (Lee Ann) Brown, sisters Shirley Ballard, Sue Weems, Eulene Raynor, grandchildren Michalie, Maleah, Malachi Brown, Jake and Kara Dougherty and several nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his brother Ted Brown. Funeral Services will be Tuesday, January 21, 2014 at 10:30 am at Little and Sons Stop 11 Chapel. Visitation will be Monday from 4 – 7:30 pm at the funeral home. Burial will be at Orchard Hill Cemetery, Wanamaker.
