Shirley Anne O'Hair Cherry, age 85, of Indianapolis, Indiana passed away on Friday, August 11, 2023. Shirley was born in Greencastle, Indiana the daughter of the late Durbin and Margret (Kelly) O'Hair. She was a member of Holy Name Catholic Church in Beech Grove, Indiana. Shirley was an Nurse Practitioner and had worked at St. Francis Hospital for 40 years.
Shirley is survived by her husband of 64 years, Travice D. Cherry; her children, David Cherry and his wife Amy, Brenda McGovern and her husband Gary, Michael Cherry and Daniel Cherry; 9 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, August 18, 2023 at Holy Name Catholic Church, 89 N. 17th Ave., Beech Grove, Indiana. Visitation will be held on Thursday, August 17, 2023 from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Little & Son Funeral Home 4901 E. Stop 11 Rd. Indianapolis, Indiana 46237. Burial will be in Holy Cross Cemetery in Indianapolis.
