

A devoted husband, father, grandfather, veteran, pastor, and faithful servant of God.
Rev. Williams dedicated his life to preaching the Gospel and serving others. He faithfully pastored Greater Morning Star Missionary Baptist Church for 51 years after accepting God's call to the ministry on September 1, 1974. His legacy of faith, compassion, and unwavering commitment to Christ will continue to inspire all who knew and loved him.
He leaves to cherish his memory his beloved wife, Carol A. Williams; his children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, extended family, church family, and a host of relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, several siblings, his son, Marcus D. Williams, Sr., and his grandson, Joshua King.
A public visitation will be held for Rev. Sterling L. Williams Sr., Saturday, July 18th, 2026, 9:00 AM until 12:00 PM, at Greater Morning Star Baptist Church, 519 E 23rd Street, Indianapolis, IN, 46205, followed by a Celebration of Life Service at 12:00 PM
