Steven Roberts

STEVEN ROBERTS was born to the proud parents of Earl and Ruth Roberts on September 28, 1949 in Indianapolis, Indiana. Steven was a student of the Indianapolis Public School System, attending Schools 44 and 87. He graduated from Shortridge High School in 1967 and attended University of Indianapolis. Steven married Joey in 1982 and born to this union, a daughter, Ashley Roberts. Steven loved family gatherings and meeting up with old friends. He was a real people person and loved to laugh and tell humourous life stories. He loved traveling with his long-time companion, the late Emma Culpepper. Going to various casinos pulling those one armed bandits was a favorite joyful form of entertainment, whether he won or not.

Steven was a very industrious worker. He worked for Farm Bureau Corporation, Kroger and Olan Mills, just to name a few. He also volunteered much of his time being involved with community service, devoting many hours toward UNWA (United NorthWest Area) and various other neighborhood development programs. He found much satisfying pleasure in his later years working for himself and opertaing his own business.

Steven departed his earthly life on Monday, March 12, 2018 at the age of 68. He is preceded in death by his father, Earl William Roberts.

He leaves to cherish his memory, his mother, Ruth Roberts; daughter, Ashley Roberts; sister, Stephanie Roberts; brothers, Stanley (Barbara) Roberts, Earl William Roberts, Sheldon Lamont Roberts; grandchildren, Brayden and Colten.
