Obituary of Susan Elizabeth Mason
Susan Elizabeth Mason, 63, of Indianapolis, passed away on March 3rd, 2023 in Indianapolis. She was born in Los Angeles, California to Betty Jane Mason on June 30th, 1959, and was the youngest of four girls. Susan attended Crispus Attucks High School of Indianapolis where she later graduated from in 1978. She enlisted in the United States Army in 1980 where she was awarded the Army Service Ribbon. She graduated from Springfield College in 2006 with an associate degree in Business Administration and Harrison College in 2015 with an associate degree in Criminal Justice. Susan worked as a Home HealthCare Aide for Golden Hands LLC at the time of her passing. Susan Elizabeth Mason known to most as “Sue Baby” was a loving mother-in-law, grandma, sister, aunt, cousin, friend, but most importantly Mom! If you knew Susan, then you knew she loved to talk. She would hold a conversation with anyone who would listen. It would typically start with the words “Girl let me tell you…” or “Tell me why….” To all her family and friends, we hope you know just how much those conversations meant to her. Susan Elizabeth Mason is preceded in death by her mother Betty Jane Mason and her sister Linda D. Burroughs. Susan Elizabeth Mason leaves to honor in her memory her three daughters Ashleigh Mason and her husband Conrad Curry II, Samantha Drake, and Chelsea Drake-Green and her husband Darius Green. Her two sisters Diane Bellamy and her Husband Clarence Bellamy Sr. and Mary Duncan. Her eleven grandchildren Contrell, Cordell, Aysia, Ava, Jabari, Jaidyn, Austin, Avery, O’mari, Olivia, and O’Shea. Her three nieces Tisha, Jaime, and Tiffany and her only nephew Clarence Bellamy Jr. A host of great nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. A visitation for Susan will be held Friday, March 10, 2023 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Crown Hill Funeral Home & Cemetery, 700 W. 38th St., Indianapolis, Indiana 46208, followed by a celebration of life at 2:00 PM.
