

Sylvia L. Leverett, 75, of Indianapolis, Indiana, passed away Thursday, August 5, 2021surrounded by her three children, loving family, and friends. She was born in Denver, Colorado on November 27, 1945 to Christy A. Christos and Elaine M. Replogle.
She was preceded in death by both of her parents; her husband of 35 years Joseph E. Leverett; father of her three children James E. Crouch; sister in-law Jeanette R. Hulse; and grandson Kristopher M. Gibson. She is survived by her two sisters Christyne M. McCain of South Bend, IN; and Patricia C. Rogers of Granger, IN; her two sons James D. Crouch of Cicero, IN and Anthony L. Crouch of Indianapolis, IN; her daughter Deborah S. Crouch of Fishers, IN; grandchildren Nena C. Tursi (Zach) of Fishers, IN; Anthony M Crouch of Las Vegas, NV; and Myranda E. Crouch of Indianapolis, IN; two nieces Dawn McCain and Elaine Keiningham (Roy); nephew Kenny McCain; her cousins Cleo; Andrianna; Nick; and Gus; and her beloved dog Sampson. From her marriage to Joseph E. Leverett, she is also survived by her four step-children; five grandchildren; four great grandchildren; and her nephew Keith Hulse of Greenwood, IN. As Sylvia's passing followed so closely behind the recent loss of her husband, a joint service for Sylvia and Joseph will be held at Crown Hill Funeral Home and Cemetery located at 700 West 38th Street in Indianapolis, IN, 46208.
Joseph "Joe" Leverett 87 Indianapolis passed on June 25th, 2021. Joe retired in 1990 after working over 30 years for Indianapolis Power and Light Co. He was a lineman for many years then worked as a trouble dispatcher until he retired. He ran a small business on the side for several years: Leverett Tree Service. Joe was a member of the Scotish Rite and also a Mason. Memorial service will be scheduled at Crown Hill Funeral Home in Indianapolis. He was preceded in Death by his parents Samuel and Luella Leverett; brother Samuel Leverett, Sisters Janice Leverett and Jeanette Hulse, grandson Christopher Gibson, and his first wife, Bonita Leverett. Survivors include sons John W. Leverett, Carl N. Leverett; daughters Jonita F. Leverett, and Sarah L. Roberts. He is also survived by seven adult grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
