Theresa A Moriarty

Born an Irish-Catholic on the Southside of Chicago, Theresa (Terry) enjoyed spending time with her extended family, traveling, going to the Indianapolis Zoo and Children’s Museum, attending shows, creating greetings cards, and volunteering at her home church, St. Peter and St. Paul Cathedral. Terry was a loyal friend, always ready to laugh and light up any room with her infectious smile.

Terry was preceded in death by her parents, Daniel and Theresa Ryan Moriarty; siblings, Daniel Moriarty, Fr. William Barry Moriarty, Carol Sweeney, and Sr. Rita Moriarty.

Terry is survived by her children, Mary (Brian) Kelley and JJ (Jodi) Moriarty; beloved grandchildren: Ryan and Katie Kelley and Mitch, Curt, and Josh Moriarty; sisters, Sharon (Doug) Waite and Mary Beth (Stan) Sorrels; sister-in-law, Kaye Moriarty and cherished nieces and nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews, and great-great nieces.

A visitation will be held on July 27, 2024, from 12-2 PM at Crown Hill Funeral Home, 700 W. 38th Street, Indianapolis, IN 46208. A separate visitation and mass will be held on August 10, 2024, at 10:45 AM at Saint Vincent De Paul Catholic Church, 1010 W. Webster Ave., Chicago, IL, 60614.
