

64, Avon – Tony passed away on October 6, 2014. He was born in Crawfordsville, IN on May 2, 1950 to Doris (Workinger) & Ira Ray "Zeke" Williams. He graduated from Fountain Central in Veedersburg, IN.
Tony had all kinds of jobs from working for farmers to flipping hamburgers, but it wasn’t until his last one as a truck driver for EMJ in Plainfield, IN hauling specialty steel to small machine shops around Indiana that he found a place he could call home. He developed long lasting friendships with his co-workers as well as his customers. He had worked there 8 years when he went on disability due to his health issues in 2003. A day didn’t go by that he’d say "I wish I was out there trucking."
Tony is survived by his loving wife, Diane (Lucid) Williams. They were married 36 years on Aug. 4th. He is also survived by son, Anthony Ray Williams (Kimberly Vanek) of Fishers, IN; his mother, Doris Mae Williams and sister Terri Minick of Mellot, IN; 2 nieces, 1 great-niece and 1 great-nephew; brother-in-law and 3 sister-in-laws.
Tony was preceded in death by infant son, Eric Michael, father, Ira R. Williams, father-in-law Ray Lucid, brother-in-law Robert Minick.
In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the National Alliance for Mental Health or the Hamilton County Humane Society.
A Celebration Gathering of family and friends will be held Friday, October 10th in Family Funeral Care at Rockville Road & I465 from 3:00 – 7:00 p.m. A Memorial Service will be held at the United Church of Christ in Mellott, IN on Saturday, October 11th at 11:00 a.m.
Directions to Mellott: take I-74 West to Waynetown exit; make a left at flashing light and turn right on U.S. 136; take state road 341 to Mellott. United Church of Christ is on left side of road on road edge of town.
