Travice Dayton Cherry of Indianapolis passed away on June 1, 2026. Dayton was born in Celina, TN. To Brack and Ocie Cherry on Jan 30,1935. He graduated from Celina High School in 1954 and married Shirley O’Hair in 1959. Dayton and Shirley were married for 64 years. Dayton was a machinist and worked for the railroad for 40 years. He and Shirley were perishers at Holy Name Church in Beech Grove.
Dayton was preceded in death by his parents, wife in 2023 and 16 brothers and sisters from his blended family.
He is survived by his 4 children: David, (wife Amy), Brenda, (husband Gary), Michael and Dan. 11 grandchildren, and 19 great grandchildren.
Viewing for Travice will be held Sunday June 7, 2026, from 5pm-7pm at Little and Sons Funeral Home 4901 E Stop 11 Rd Indianapolis, In. Funeral Mass will take place at Holy Name Catholic Church in Beech Grove, Indiana on Monday June 8th at 11am. Burial to follow at Holy Cross Cemetery.
