75, passed away January 18, 2015. She was born October 12, 1939, in Indianapolis to Roger and Gertrude (Hardesty) Shiel. She was a graduate of St. Mary of the Woods and received her Master’s in Fine Art and Doctor of Education from Indiana University. She was an art teacher for the University of British Columbia. She attended St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church. Trudy is survived by her sisters Judy Shiel Harris (Mike), Sally Shiel DeMars (Dan), Susan Shiel Newman (Bob), Marilyn Shiel Smith and nieces and nephews: Rhody, Michelle and Mathew Harris, Crissy, Rick, Shiela and Meghan DeMars, Rob, Scott and Brad Newman, Mike, Tim and Molly Smith. She is preceded in death by her parents and brother Rhody Shiel. Mass of Christian Burial will be Thursday, January 22 at 10 am at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church, with visitation an hour before services. Burial will be at Calvary Cemetery. Memorials in Trudy’s name may be made to Catholic Charities. Services entrusted to Feeney-Hornak Keystone Mortuary.
