Tyce W McIntosh, Indianapolis, age 67 passed away peacefully at his home with his wife at his side on Saturday, November 26, 2022. He was born May 27, 1955 in Muncie, Indiana to the late Paul and Janet (Gibson) McIntosh. His life would blossom from humble beginnings due to his unpretentious, loyal, loving, faithful, and humerus nature. It didn't hurt that he always smiling and was a great fixer through his listening skills and handy-man abilities. He grew up in Muncie and was outstanding three sport athlete at Muncie Central until his graduation in 1973. Tyce was the quarterback and safety of the football team, a forward on the basketball team, and as a pitcher, threw a no hitter and was a 1973 All Star and Evening Press Player of the Year. He was an example of a student-athlete and the recipient of the Tri Kappa Scholarship. He graduated from Ball State University and began a sales career with Burrows. In 1979 he became an entrepreneur with Compusystems, later Natural Solutions. In their free time, Tyce and Carolyn were avid Colts fans and traveled the country following them, including the Super Bowl loss to the Saints in Miami. He also rooted for the New York Yankees, Indiana Pacers, and loved the Indianapolis 500. Tyce was also an avid golfer and member of Old Oakland Golf Club and a skilled snow skier. Over the last 6 and a half years he battled prostate cancer with humor, grace, and dignity. True to his nature, his last 6 months, Tyce and Carolyn's home was always full of friends and family as part of their Tyce - Open Door Policy.
Tyce is survived by his loving wife of nearly 30 years, Carolyn McIntosh; children, Kaytea Jo Moreno Elst (Ignacio) and Blake McIntosh; grandchildren, Nilah Jo and Oskar Tyce Moreno Elst; sisters, Joyce Huff (Richard) and Polly Minard (Mac); and several nieces and nephews.
