

Velmon (Noon) was born on April 13, 1941 to Velmon Sr. & Fannie Mae Davidson in West Point, Mississippi. Family moved to Indianapolis, IN. Velmon (Noon) attended John Hope School #26 and Arsenal Technical High School. Velmon (Noon) early activities was Golden Gloves Boxing Champion, and an Arsenal Technical Varsity Basketball player. Velmon (Noon) was the neighborhood Paper Boy for many years.
After graduation, Velmon (Noon) worked at Daimler Chrysler Indianapolis Foundry for over 40 years. In 1972, he met and married on August 31, 1974 Cloteal (Marie) in Indianapolis, IN.
Velmon (Noon) while at Chrysler held many positions where he welcomed responsibilities consisting of a Crane Driver, Core Maker, Modern Operation Agreement (MOA) - Team Leader, Credit Union – President, Alternate Union Committeeman, UAW 550 - Trustee, and UAW 550 – Treasurer.
Velmon (Noon) was passionate about volunteering and spearheading the Annual Clothe-a-Child program providing much needed resources for many inner-city youth. Velmon (Noon) also served as President for the East Side Reunion Committee and chaired the East-Side Reunion annual dance and picnic in the park for the community for over 2 decades.
Velmon (Noon) always made time for his family and friends. When he retired in 2003 after 40 years at the Indianapolis Foundry, Velmon (Noon) now enjoyed all of his time pursuing his love and activities with his grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. As many of you know Velmon (Noon) was a straight shooter, and when he considered you a friend - you had a friend for life.
Velmon (Noon) was predeceased by parents Velmon & Fannie Davidson; (Brothers James “Buddy “Davidson, Walter Lee Davidson, and Billy Davidson; (Sister) Mary “Louise” Smith; (Daughter)Teresa Whitsey.
Velmon (Noon) is survived by his (wife) Cloteal “Marie” Davidson; (Daughters) Danita Baker, and Valeria Yates; (Son) Stephen (Cynthia) Walker; (Grandchildren) Schunita (Brelin) Duncan, Ronald (Carlett) Smith Jr., Shayla (Paul) Pinner, Stephen “Deuce” Walker II, and a host of great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, family and friends.
