Vern Richard Moss Jr.

Vern loved sports, mainly a diehard Chicago Cubs fan, Chicago Bears fan and part-time Indianapolis Colts fan. He was a self-taught master of many fantasy sports teams from football to even bass fishing! He enjoyed spending many relaxing hours in his boat and was an avid fisherman, but then would balance that out by getting frustrated hacking around a golf course with his kids. He even enjoyed waiting for the royal flush to hit in poker and waiting for the long shot to come in while betting on the ponies. Music was a big part of his life, being a Parrothead, he loved to live the Buffett lifestyle. More than all that, Vern was a selfless man, an amazing father, a kind hearted grandfather and the best caretaker his wife could have ever asked for.

He will be dearly missed by his children, Bill (Jody) Moss, Rich (Ileana) Moss, and Sarah Moss; his mother, Marty Moss-Culbertson; his sister, Kristy (Joe) Mullins; and 5 granddaughters and 3 grandsons. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Diane and his father, Vern Moss Sr.

A celebration of Vern's Life will be privately held with his family and friends on Saturday, October 7, 2017.
