

Viola or Granny as she was called received her primary and secondary education in Marsh Town Tenn. and graduated from Marsh Town High School. Viola accepted Christ at an early age at Hoop Creek Baptist Church Tazewell, Tenn. Since coming to Indianapolis Indiana she fellowshipped with Faith Temple Penecostal Church and later moved her membership to Church of God in Christ until her health began to fail.
Viola was united in holy matrimony to Earnest E. Anderson on July 9, 1955. To this union two children were born. Her husband and son Ricky Lee Anderson, Sr preceded her in death. Viola Anderson also has one grandson, Ricky Lee Anderson, Jr who preceded her in death.
Viola was employed at Cummins Allison for over 21 years as a machinist. Viola loved to cook and bake and that she would do. Viola loved to garden and plant flowers. She enjoyed canning fruit and vegetables. Viola also enjoyed fishing, and traveling. Viola liked to attend basketball and baseball games with her son and grandsons. She loved to lend a helping hand and to help others. Most of all she loved to attend church.
On Wednesday April 10, 2013 Mrs. Viola B. Anderson departed this life. She leaves to cherish her memory daughter Earnestine Anderson (Tina), seven grandsons, Brandon, and Ontario Anderson, Sr, Percy Burney, Byron Mills, Jr, Tevin, Kevin Skaggs, two grand-daughters Tamara and Latia Anderson, three great grand-daughters, Alizza Anderson, Ashley Burney, Alashia Torrey, three great grandsons, Tony Anderson, Ontario Anderson, Jr, Kenneth Doss, three nieces, and three nephews, one daughter-in-law, Denita Anderson.
