To the man with the biggest heart. Always the biggest smile! I’ll never forget you gathering all the guys to build that little girl her porch with a ramp so she could come outside. You did this just driving by and seeing how hard it was for her mom to get her in and out! You stopped and made their lives so much simpler just by building them a ramp! Always the first to show up to help someone! You will forever be loved and missed!!  Ride High In That Beautiful Sky My Friend!

I started handling Bills account the Hog Barn on 8/22/2019  he always put a smile on my face and was a character without a doubt.
I also had his son's account The Chrome Hog and for a time didn't even realize they were son and father, (small world) till one day I  noticed the last name. I have lost some good customers and friends working here for almost 25 years he will truly be missed by myself and Mid-USA Motorcycle Parts Rest in Peace my friend.

You being silly and friendly to everyone at Mann’s is what I remember most about you.  One day we were both eating alone and you invited me to sit with you.  It didn’t take long to figure out how big your heart was and how you just wanted to help everyone else, but not accept help yourself.  You did your part to make the world right for friends and strangers alike.  I wish Greg and I had met you long before we did, and I already miss fighting over the check at lunch.  I know you’re with God and watching over Cherie, and you fought to survive since your accident but I’m glad you can rest now without pain.  We love you and Cherie!

I've known Bill since 1978. My husband Mike Johnson and I have been on many rides together in our younger days. I'll never forget when we hit a camero the night before the 500 on the trike. We both went to the Hospital via ambulance. You showed up on  your trike and said you were there to pick us up. .... you were there and so was a car too to make sure we made it home. Many many fun nights on the trikes. Thoughts and prayers are with Cherie and the rest of your family during this difficult time. R.I.P. MY FRIEND Ride high in the sky.

Bill , we have been neighbors for years, we would talk in passing or if you needed some oil or parts, we got to know  one another and become friends, you will be missed.....GODSPEED ....MY FRIEND...REST EASY....

My prayers  go out to Cherie and all of Bills family and friends.Bill you will be dearly missed.Bill always had me laughing when we were sitting in the garage Bill  and Smiley worked on our bikes for many years one thing Bill always said to me he could fix anything  on a bike but he  couldn't  fix a broken heart. My Uncle Bill gave out nicknames, mine was Candy Queen he's called me that since I was 6. He loved Trike's and Bike's he was the first person to know and first to show up on any situation. He's going to be deeply missed by US (family and friends)

Dear Cherie and family we  are so very sorry for your loss of a great guy ..we went on many rides with Bill and many Abate meetings Boogie Governors ride MDA Sturgis  lots of memories with him years ago…
Bill let us use his RV one whole summer many years ago while we were remodeling our house we bought it wasn’t livable and he offered it we have never forgot his generosity he was a great guy Amy Lynne our daughter always  called him Santa Claus  she was five when he loaned it to us…Love and prayers Kevin and Kathy Smith from Mooresville

Bill was a very good man close to our family I wish I could find the picture I have bills the one in her in me to Harley Davidson I got a picture of me sitting on one of his old bikes and probably 1970 or 68 him and my brother John we’re good friends they ocean was a good man will be missed dearly say hi to JOHN love you bill

My dear Uncle Billy,
       I will always remember the time you made Gary so mad because we were all at dinner and you cut my steak up for me and that made him so mad! He thought he had to be the only one to help me! He thought that it was his job and no else’s.
      I also want to thank you for everything that you and Cheri have done for me and my family  during the time I was sick and you guys took care of my kiddos when they were young! Thanks again for the memories!  I love you Uncle Billy 😘

You are more like a brother than a brother-in-law. Your heart was as big as you are. You will be greatly missed by me and the boys. Love you so much and we will all watch after Cheri for you. Your up there with Markus now and I know he’s glad to see you. We all love you so much. Fly high till we see you again. God bless.
