William Russell Moore

William Russell Moore, 80, passed away on Monday, August 17, 2015 at home. He was born in McMinnville, TN the son of the late Houston and Allene (Fitts) Moore. After high school, William joined the United States Air Force for twenty years. He served in the Korean War. In 1957 William married Bernice (Milish) Moore in Indianapolis. William was a member of VFW Post #5064. He enjoyed traveling the world, speaking Spanish, worked for GE and later became self-employed and loved spending time with his family and friends.

William is survived by his sons, William Alan (Sheryl) Moore, Russell Aaron (Debbie) Moore; daughter, Athena Ann Wampler (Jeff Kermode); mother of grandchildren, Pam Moore; sisters, Sara Francis Perras and Stella (Bill) Gough; grandchildren, Amy Beaver, Bryan Moore, Nicholas Moore, Kaylee Moore, Candice Moore, Christopher Moore and Cassie Moore; and seven great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Bernice; and sister, Hazel Conner.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, August 22, 2015 from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Little and Sons Stop Eleven Chapel. Burial will be at a later date at Mt. View Cemetery in McMinnville, TN. www.littleandsonsfuneralhome.com
