

88, of Indianapolis, passed away Wednesday, January 18, 2012. He was born January 7, 1924 in Indianapolis to the late Harry and Edna Yeager. William was a proud veteran of the United States Navy and member of St. Mark Catholic Church. He started his 33 year career at General Motors as a millwright, became a foreman, and worked his way up to General Foreman of Maintenance. William enjoyed playing tennis and golfing (he even taught one of his granddaughters to golf) and he enjoyed spending time at the lake house on Sweetwater. He is survived by his childhood sweetheart and wife of 65 years, Mary Jane Pfarr Yeager; children, Jeffrey W. (Diane) Yeager, Jane A. (Mike) Simmons, and James A. (Jill) Yeager; 8 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a son, Joseph L. Yeager, 3 sisters, and a brother. Visitation is Sunday, January 22, 2012 from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. in Little & Sons Funeral Home, 4901 E. Stop 11 Rd., Indianapolis, IN. Funeral Mass is Monday, January 23, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. in St. Mark Catholic Church, 535 E. Edgewood Ave., Indianapolis, IN 46227. Entombment will follow at Calvary Cemetery.
