

Willie Clark Sr., age 81 of Indianapolis, IN was born June 12th, 1945, to the late Nellie Mae Clark and James Bragg in Gurdon, Arkansas. He moved to Indiana at a young age where he attended Crispus Attucks High School there, he met his wife, Bennie Clark.
Willie retired from United Parcel Service after 35 years of service where he started as a package sorter and later promoted to package car driver. Willie excelled at driving. He would be inducted into The Circle of Honor Indiana District for safe driving all 34 years of his driving career. Willie prides himself so much as a safe driver every Clark child before learning to drive would read the United Parcel Service safe driving pamphlet.
Willie accepted Christ as his Lord and Savior and was baptized at the age of 35 at Little Bethel Baptist Church where he would later be ordained as a Deacon under Rev. Ollie J. Reeves and severed for 40 years.
Willie was the oldest of 9 siblings, He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend to all. It was not uncommon cars would pass by his home off the corner of 34th and Bulter blowing their horns to be met with a smile and a wave if he was in the yard. He loved working in the yard or tinkering with his cars. He played basketball and ran track in high school and was avid jazz music lover. He had an extensive album collection ranging from Jazz to his favorite group Earth, Wind and Fire. He also was a car enthusiast and enjoyed spending time with family and friends, especially his grandchildren. He would often be in the stands cheering and sometimes offering up advice after his grandkids’ sporting events.
On Wednesday, June 24, 2026, Willie transitioned from this life to be in the presence of the Lord. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death (2) brothers, Robert McDaniel and Dewayne Bragg, (2) sisters Juanita Matthrews and Deborah Hightower.
Willie leaves to celebrate his life and cherish his memory loving and devoted wife Bennie Clark of 63 years, son Willie Clark Jr (Tonya) daughters; Doris Logan (Tony) Kim Cunningham (Tony) grandchildren; (9) Corey, Brittany, Whitnee, Ashley, Autumn, Aaron Clark , Trinity, Tylen, Tru Cunningham, (3) great-grandchildren; Quanell, Israel, Samia Clark sisters; (2) Shelia Bailey (Larry) and Dorothy Hamilton, brothers; (3) Craig Bragg (Norma), Dwight Bragg (Nicole) and Charles Hamilton (Paula), a host of devoted nieces, nephews, cousin , and other family members and friends.
Visitation will be held at Little Bethel Missionary Baptist Church, 3276 Winthrop Ave, Indianapolis, IN 46205, on July 11, 2026, from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm, with a Celebration of Life at 12:00 pm.
