

On January 2, 1944. He moved to Indianapolis in 1959.
Willie professed his belief in Christ at an early age he was baptize and became a member of Mount Vernon Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Rev Mozell Sanders.
Willie attended Harry Wood High School, and later join the Atterbury Job Corps.
Willie was employed by the 7up Bottling Company Farm Bureau, as well as the N.K. Hurst Bean Factory, after retiring his passion turned to fishing, he loves gardening and landscaping which he continued to do until his health failed.
In 1994 Willie C and Elaine Turner was united in Holy matrimony, they shared twelve years together.
Willie became a member of Emmanuel Missionary Baptist Church in 2016 under the leadership
of Rev. Darrel K. Webster.
Willie C , as he was fondly called loved getting together with family. If at any time family or friends needed him he was always available. He loved to watch the classic TV shows such as Andy Griffith, Flintstones, Green Acres and westerns. He will be sadly missed by family and all that knew him.
Willie C. Darby departed this life on Saturday May 2, 2020 at the R.H.I. Hospital of Indiana at the age of 76. He was preceded in death by brothers Charlie Buckner, Mellie Robinson , Clinton Darby Jr. sisters Adell Jude , Rosie Fowlkes and Ceceal Washington.
He leaves to cherish his memory one, brother Jimmie Lee Darby, two sisters, Emma Mae Clanton and Louise Lewis all of Indianapolis In. A host of nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.
