Yvonne Bennett

Yvonne attended Holy Angels and Saint Agnes Academy. After graduation, Yvonne attended Nursing School at Wishard Memorial Hospital. After years of working as a Surgical Nurse at Wishard, Yvonne worked at the VA hospital as a registered nurse, where she touched many lives and received respect, accolades, and admiration from soldiers, nurses, and doctors alike.

Yvonne married James A. Bennett at the young age of 18, they were married for 66 years and had 9 beautiful children; 6 boys and 2 girls. James preceded her in death, on September 28, 2019.

Yvonne enjoyed drawing, playing bingo, and riding the Amtrak superliner to Tacoma Washington to visit her son James and his family. She also enjoyed traveling to Arizona to spend time with her grandsons James, Michael, and James 3 dogs, especially Peyton.

Yvonne was a wonderful mother and grandmother, she adored her grandchildren and was extremely proud of each one of them.

Yvonne was preceded in death by her brother: Raymond Dunlap, sisters: Gloria Scott & Barbara Murphy, daughter: Lisa Smith, sons: Tony, Keith, & Vincent Bennett.

Yvonne leaves to cherish her memory brother: John Dunlap, sons: James (Bertha), Michael (Laurita), & Jeffery Bennett, daughter: Yvette Bennett, 18 grandchildren, 6 great grand children, & a host of nieces, nephews, loving relatives and friends.
