Joe Lowery

Joe was born 07/24/1943 in Seninary, MS to Elma and Lawrence Lowrey, Jr. He graduated from Provine High School and attended Hinds Jr College. He began working for the Jackson Daily News delivering papers on his bike. He then worked at A&P for thirty years before he opened his own business, Joe’s One Stop Shop. He would return to delivering papers in his last job contracted for Clarion Ledger/ USA Today.

He met his childhood sweetheart, Patsy Lowery, in 1959 when he was just 16 years old. They would later get married on February 22,1964. They lived together in Terry, Ms and raised their two children.

Joe is preceded in death by his parents Elma and Lawrence Lowery, Jr., his sister’s Lynn and Diane, and his Great Grandson Lucas.

He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Patsy Lowery; 2 children, Jimmy and Pattie (James); 8 Grandchildren, Jonathan (Crystal), Mary Frances, Lea, Rachel, Josh, John, Jeremy, Joseph; 6 Great Grandchildren, Gabrielle, Klohe, Seth, Kylie, Kynnedi, Emily; and his two fur babies Lady Bug and Nubby.

While our hearts weren’t ready, we are at peace knowing he awaits us in Heaven!
