
Clifford W. Murphy, 86, of Jackson, passed away June 2, 2016 in Saraland. He was self-employed for many years and known throughout Clarke County for his rolling store. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict. He was preceded in death by his parents, Clifford Ray Murphy and Maggie Mae Goodman Murphy; wives, Josephine Murphy and Ruby Murphy; sisters, Allie Mae Bryan, Audie Mae Jenks, Nellie Blackwell and brother, Glenn Murphy. He is survived by his son, Barry Wayne Murphy; sisters, Louise (Gordon) Clolinger, Mary (Alfred) Bayles, Margie Savage and numerous grandchildren, nieces and nephews. A graveside service will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, June 7, 2016 at Trinity Memorial Gardens in Jackson with Steven Jenks officiating and Lathan Funeral Home directing. Visitation will begin at 9:30 a.m. at Lathan Funeral Home in Jackson. Pallbearers will be Johnny Murphy, Mike Murphy, Chris Murphy, Austin Murphy, Will Beason and Steven Goff.
