Elisabeth Maria (Liz) Ross, 77, of McIntosh, Alabama passed away on Mother’s Day, May 10, 2015 Visitation will be held on Friday, May 15, 2015 from 11:00am-12 Noon with a memorial service beginning at Noon, all at Lathan Funeral Home in Jackson, AL with Reverend Wayne Youngman officiating.

Liz was born in Leobschütz, Germany, on February 13th, 1938. She was married to John Douglas Ross in September 1959, arriving in the US in early 1960, and has enjoyed a quiet, retired life since 1979.

Liz is survived by her daughter, Charmain; her grandson, Jeff and his wife, Nicole; her brother and sister-in-law, Manfred and Edda; their children, Klaus and Martina, and their families; and other family and friends.

Liz is preceded in death by her husband, John, and her parents, Rudolph and Anna.

The immediate family would like to extend deepest heartfelt thanks to all those who assisted in her care during her final hours; Barbara Ross, Linya Roberts, and the ladies of Jackson Home Hospice.
